Prof. Meyer-Nieberg was a dedicated university lecturer and colleague for many years.
He taught as Professor of Mathematics at Osnabrück University from 1975 until his retirement in 2009 and beyond until 2015. This made him one of the founding fathers and formative scientists of the university. In his research field of functional analysis, he was known for his in-depth work on operator theory.
The University is deeply indebted to him and will honor his memory.
