New at the university: Prof. Dr. Johanna Schönherr!

Osnabrück University welcomes Prof. Dr. Johanna Schönherr! Since October 15, she has held the professorship "Mathematics Didactics". A warm welcome!

Prof. Schönherr's research interests focus on the teaching and learning of mathematics at lower and upper secondary level. She is particularly interested in the question of how visualizations can promote the understanding of mathematical content, how motivation and emotions are related to learning processes and the importance of creativity in mathematics teaching.

The aim of her courses is to prepare future teachers for the challenges of teaching mathematics and to provide them with tools for designing lessons that promote learning.
