Prof. Stadje taught as a professor of applied mathematics at Osnabrück University from 1982 until his retirement in 2021; he established the stochastics research group at the Institute of Mathematics and was thus one of the university's most influential scientists. In his research field of probability theory, he was known for his significant work on stochastic processes and queues.
The University is deeply indebted to him and will honor his memory.
