Student Councils

The student council is an institution of student self-administration and at the same time represents the interests of the students. All students enrolled on a degree course are automatically part of the student council.

The tasks of the student council are varied: the student council represents the interests of the students vis-à-vis the committees, for example in the Senate or the school executive board and the study commission. The official mouthpiece is the student council, which is elected every year.

In addition, the student council is also a network that offers support and tips on questions about studying, (co-)organizes the Freshers' Week and organizes information events and celebrations.

In the School of Human Sciences, the student councils are organized by institute, i.e. each institute has its own student council. You can find more information (contact, open meetings etc.) under the following links:

By the way:
Doctoral students are also organized in a student council, the  promos.
