23rd Annual Conference of the Cooperation Center Universities and Trade Unions

The motto of the event is "Investing in the future. A balancing act for a changing society". At the same time, the cooperation center in Osnabrück will be celebrating its 30th anniversary as part of the conference. The registration deadline is November 16.

Three decades of active cooperation in Osnabrück - between universities, trade unions and urban society. An occasion to celebrate - and to think ahead and look to the future.

The debt brake has been relaxed and a special fund created. New budgetary leeway now opens up opportunities for pioneering and ambitious investments in the future. Together, we face the challenge of maintaining a balance between ecological sustainability, social justice and a sustainable economy.
Science and the world of work discuss: Does the so-called reform of the debt rule go far enough? What ideas, political structures and alliances are needed to shape a public investment and transformation policy that does justice to the formulated triad? At which levels must action be taken and how can operational stakeholders be involved?

The conference combines retrospection and new beginnings: for a fair transformation that takes everyone with it - and does not postpone the future. On site. In Lower Saxony. In Germany. Everywhere.

Celebrating together.
Sharing.
Giving direction.

Participation in the conference is free of charge. Please register in advance by November 16, 2025
