Migration and asylum policy, migration and asylum law

Since April 2024, I have been working as a research associate and PhD candidate in the project  B1 "The Production of (Im-)Mobility: The Visa as Border Infrastructure" within the  Collaborative Research Center 1604 "Production of Migration".

Previously, I first worked at PRO ASYL in asylum and residence law counselling and then as policy advisor on migration, asylum and inclusion at the International Rescue Committee Germany. Before that, I gained my first work experience at organisations such as UNHCR, Amnesty International and GIZ.

Including a semester abroad at Aalborg University in Copenhagen I completed my Master’s degree in International Migration and Intercultural Relations (IMIB) at Osnabrück University in 2018 with my thesis "Gemeinsam allein auf Tahriib“ which was published as an  IMIS Working Paper in 2019. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology and African Studies at the University of Cologne.
