Production of Knowledge

Societies constantly produce 'migration knowledge.' This IMIS research field is concerned with the practices of producing and circulating knowledge about the spatial movement of people in the past and present, which is investigated at the intersection of science and politics, administration and society. The aim of this area of IMIS research is to develop reflexive perspectives for historical, sociological and cultural research on migration on an interdisciplinary basis.
