PhD project: Welcome Centres as local interfaces in the migration regime (working title)
The project examines the emergence of Welcome Centres ("Willkommenszentren") in Germany, their local context, and the interests involved in establishing them. The analysis aims to shed light on local characteristics and emphasise variations in the perception of migration. It will also address the internal dynamics of these organisations. The project will adopt a comparative qualitative case study approach.
