Welcome to the Department of Management Accounting and Information Systems, one of five Information Systems departments at Osnabrück University. The department, headed by Prof. Dr. Frank Teuteberg since the winter semester 07/08, is part of the Institute of Information Management and Corporate Governance (IMU) within the school.

The research and teaching carried out at the Department of Management Accounting and Information Systems is intended to develop concepts, (reference) models, procedures and information systems for practical application in the field of value-oriented corporate management on a solid theoretical basis.

Theoretical and practical orientation are not opposites, but are understood as complementary parts of scientific work in the field of Management Accounting and Information Systems. The aim of the courses offered is to convey concepts of thought, theoretical approaches and practically applicable methods as well as knowledge in the use of relevant standard software in the areas of analysis, planning and reporting for corporate management

We attach great importance to promoting our young academics. We offer qualified graduates an exciting, challenging and supportive environment for their doctoral projects
