I am a doctoral researcher in the SFB 1604 ›Production of Migration‹, exploring the production and negotiation of belonging and gender among the Turkish-German mosque communities.
I graduated with a master's degree in anthropology from Heidelberg University, with a minor in transcultural studies, where I focused on how belonging is navigated through placemaking among the Turkish-German community in Mannheim. I hold a bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in architectural culture from the Middle East Technical University in Turkey. Previously, I worked as a project adviser at the Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation, as a pollster at KONDA Research and Consultancy Company, and as an intern at the Istanbul Policy Center and Marmara Municipalities Union. Since 2022, I have been the head of the translation committee at the ‘We Will Stop Femicides Platform’ of Turkey.
