Kholoüd Awada

Public law

Since January 2025, I have been working as a research assistant and doctoral candidate in the  project B1, "The Production of (Im-)Mobility: The Visa as Border Infrastructure," which is part of the Collaborative Research Center, "Production of Migration," ( SFB 1604) at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies in Osnabrück. My dissertation focuses on a legal-dogmatic analysis of the Schengen visa as a means for producing short-term mobility.

I completed my first state law examination in June 2024 at the University of Osnabrück, specializing in German and European public law. Since August 2024, I have been working on my dissertation while also supporting the Collaborative Research Center, "Production of Migration." as a student and research assistant. Prior to that, I gained experience as a student assistant in a law firm.
