The DeZIM community currently brings together seven research institutes with different research perspectives on issues of integration and migration research. Each of the partner institutes has a research networking office, which, together with the central coordination office at the DeZIM Institute, aims to strengthen cooperation, communication and knowledge transfer within DeZIM, among experts and the interested public, as well as in politics and the media.
The tasks of the networking offices include supporting and coordinating cooperation projects and the spokesperson team, publishing and editing the DeZIMinutes publication series and the DeZIM-FG newsletter, and organising events to promote scientific exchange, knowledge transfer and the strengthening and networking of young scientists in particular. To this end, the research networking offices coordinate specialist workshops and conferences aimed specifically at young scientists.
The kick-off event was the DeZIM doctoral students' kick-off conference, which took place at IMIS in September 2018.
