Twice Displaced. Queer Experiences of Displacement in Post-war Europe

Lecture by Dr. Samantha Knapton (University of Nottingham)

Samantha Knapton is an Assistant Professor in History specializing in central and east-central Europe, displacement, and humanitarianism. She earned her PhD from Newcastle University (2019) and worked at the University of East Anglia. Her research includes a 2023 monograph on Polish displaced persons in post-war Germany and co-editing a volume on the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA). She has held a fellowship in Warsaw and published widely on displacement, repatriation, and Anglo-Polish-German relations.

The lecture is organized by Dr. Sebastian Musch as part of his Alfred Landecker Lectureship and is open to the interested public.
