Information for Partners
Nomination and application process
We are happy to host students from our partner universities for one or two semesters as part of our cooperation agreements. To do this, students must first be nominated. Please send the nomination form (DOCX, 62 kB) by e-mail to our International Office (incoming@uos.de) by the deadline stated below.
Students will then be contacted by our International Office and provided with further information about their application.
Nomination deadline for partner universities: April 1 to June 15 for the following winter semester, October 1 to December 15 for the following summer semester.
Application deadlines for students: July 1 for the following winter semester (start in October), January 1 for the following summer semester (start in April).
Language requirements and courses
No language certificates need to be submitted with the application. However, as the main language of instruction in most of our degree programs is German (especially at Bachelor level), we ask our partners to consider the following required language levels when selecting students: German B2 for courses taught in German, English B2 for courses taught in English according to CEFR.
However, we offer several courses in English each semester. Up to 40% of the courses can be taken at other institutes and schools outside the partner department/institute. However, preference will be given to students from your own school if places are limited.
Please note that we cannot award ECTS credits for final theses.
Teaching mobility (STA Teaching Mobility)
In addition to student exchanges, there are also agreements on Erasmus Teaching Mobility with many Erasmus+ partner universities. Interested lecturers can contact the respective institute directly if they already have contacts.
Otherwise, lecturers are welcome to contact the Office for Study Abroad & International Cooperation with a proposal for a desired period of stay and a brief description of their teaching interests. We will then put you in touch with the relevant institute.
Please take our semester dates into account when planning your stay.
