Equipment

The three rooms of the PC pool in Katharinenstraße 1-3 have a total of 64 computers when fully equipped:

One computer in each room is set up as a lecturer computer (C101, C201, C301). These are each connected to a media control unit, which can be used to control the projector and audio output.

Please note that some computers may be missing from time to time due to repairs!

Projector

The three PC rooms in Katharinenstraße and the left-hand Bibo PC pool have a projector connected to the lecturer's computer. The projectors in the PC rooms in Katharinenstraße can be controlled via a control panel on the wall. This can also be used to control the WiPG WePresenters (see below) for wireless image transmission.

Headset loan

If headsets for students are required for a course in the PC pool, these can be borrowed in advance from the IT support team. As a teacher, simply send an email to  helpdeskfb9@uni-osnabrueck.de or contact us by telephone. We will then make an appointment with you to hand over and return the equipment. A loan form will be provided by us and must be filled out when handing over and returning the equipment.

NetOP Vision Pro

The Vision Pro software is installed on the lecturers' computers in PC room 2 (47/E03) and PC room 3 (47/E04) in Katharinenstraße. Using this software, the screen content of the lecturer's computer can be displayed on all the students' computers. At the same time, the input on the student computers is blocked.
The software also offers many other functions for controlling the student computers. For example, it is possible to access individual computers in order to support students with individual problems. Detailed information can be found on the manufacturer's website.
We would be happy to arrange an appointment with you for a practical introduction to the numerous functions of the NetOp Vision software.
Further information is available on the  manufacturer's website.

WiPG-Presenter

With the WiPG presenters, many different devices can be connected with little effort to present presentations or other media via an HDMI and VGA interface. They have HD and can be connected to notebooks, smartphones and tablets, among others. They can be connected via USB or wirelessly. Software called MirrorOp is required for use on a PC, which can be downloaded from the IT support page and below. Further information can be found  on the manufacturer's website.
