Setup via the print server enables flexible management of printers at the school. You can carry out the process for several printers if, for example, a color printer is used. Splitting into two printers avoids unwanted color prints.
1. after clicking on the Windows logo at the bottom left, enter "Run", type "control printers" and confirm the entry.
2. from now on you can set up your printer. To do this, click on "Add printer" in the new window at the top of the bar.
3. the printer installation wizard opens. Now click on "The desired printer is not included in the list".
4. now select the item "Search for a printer in the directory by location or printer features" and then click on "Next".
The following window will then appear:
If you enlarge the window, you can now find the list of all available printers at school 9. See the following illustration:
5. you have the option of filtering by location to make your search easier. Simply enter the storage location as a filter in the form <building number>/<room number>, e.g. 22/E21 in the "Storage location" field and then click on "Search now".
The following window will then appear, which contains a list of all existing printers in room 22/E21:
Please note that a printer may be available in different versions for different types of printing (black and white/color). This can be seen from the printer name.
You also have the option of printing in DIN A3 on the central Kyocera multifunction devices by filtering for one of the following printers and then selecting the name with your FG/OE abbreviation (e.g. 29-E10_Kyocera_Taskalfa_3500i_edv):
- 29/E10: 29-E10_Kyocera_Taskalfa_3500i_<FG/OE abbreviation>
- 29/221: 29-221_Kyocera_Taskalfa_3500i_<FG-/OE-abbreviation>
- 45/207: 45-207_Kyocera_Taskalfa_3500i_<FG-/OE abbreviation> (FG BuF only)
- 47/106: 47-106_Kyocera_Taskalfa_3500i_<FG/OE abbreviation> (IMU-FGs only)
- 47/222: 47-222_Kyocera_Taskalfa_3500i_<FG/OE abbreviation> (only FGs UWI and BOW)
6. now click on the desired printer and select "Ok".
The required drivers will now be downloaded automatically and the printer installed. The desired printer should now have been successfully added. The following window will open:
