Application documents
- A signed PDF copy of the online application form
- Motivation letter in English
- Tabular curriculum vitae (CV)
- Copy of the university entrance qualification, e.g. Abiturzeugnis (copy of the Hochschulzugangsberechtigung)
- Copy of the Bachelor's degree certificate including transcript of records
- Proof of academic achievements in the current degree program: officially issued by the examination office (not required for first-semester students)
- Proof of language proficiency in the language of instruction (for both first and second choice programs, not older than 2 years, issued by the language center) (English minimum level B2), as well as other language certificates such as TOEFL, Cambridge, or proof of an English-language Bachelor's degree

EuMIGS Exchange Program
In addition to the Double Degree Program, the EuMIGS also gives you the opportunity to spend a semester at one of the EuMIGS network universities as an EuMIGS Exchange Student:
- École Normale Supérieure de Lyon: Migration Studies
- Université Côte d'Azur: Migration Studies
- University of Copenhagen: Advanced Migration Studies
- Erasmus University Rotterdam: Governance of Migration and Diversity (GMD)
- Malmö University: Master in International Migration and Ethnic Relations (IMER)
- Linköping Universitet: Master in Ethnic and Migration Studies
- Universidade da Coruña: Master in Social Policies and Socio-Community Intervention (MOPS)
- Paris Lodron University Salzburg: Master program Sociology with study extension program in Migration Studies
- University of Liège: Master in Sociology with professional focus in Immigration Studies
