Studying Abroad
If you're considering spending a semester abroad, you might benefit from one of the existing exchange agreements at the Institute of Geography and receive financial support through the ERASMUS program. The Office for Study Abroad & Internships at FB01, in collaboration with the Institute of Geography, can help arrange study placements at partner universities in Angers and Besançon (F), Prague (CZ), Krakow and Lublin (PL),
Bern (CH), Sofia (BG), Mancheser (UK) as well as Ankara and Çanakkale (TK).
Here you'll find an overview of the Institute's exchange partnerships, including key information such as the number of available spots, language requirements, semester dates, and more.
If you're enrolled in a geography degree program, you will receive an invitation to apply for one of the available exchange placements via email toward the end of each year. Applications apply to the upcoming winter or summer semester — in other words, for the following academic year.
Detailed information about the application process and required documents is available on the International Office website of Osnabrück University. There, you’ll also find the link to the online application portal.
Studying abroad outside of the ERASMUS program is also possible in principle. For more information, please visit the university's website under Exchange Studies University Partnerships
