Aquatic Ecology
In aquatic ecology, our research centers on inland wetlands, including lakes, rivers, and their floodplains. Key areas of study include the morphological, chemical, and ecological assessment of watercourses under the European Water Framework Directive (WFD), as well as the impact of invasive species on native aquatic communities. These investigations form the foundation for developing sustainable management strategies for Central European inland waters, especially those affected by environmental disturbances.
