Isabelle Dachs has been a research associate in the working group human geography with a focus on economic geography at Osnabrück University since July 2024.
She is currently working on the Pro*Niedersachsen-funded project "Organizational resilience in the COVID-19 pandemic: crisis management and strategic adaptation of catering businesses in cities in Lower Saxony".
After completing her bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology and sociology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, she went on to complete her master's degree in economic and social geography at Osnabrück University. As part of her Master's thesis, she investigated the integration of the circular economy in global production networks in the agri-food sector. To this end, she conducted field research in Ghana on the utilization of cocoa by-products using the example of cocoa shell compost. Between August 2023 and June 2024, she worked as a research assistant at the Sustainability Institute of the CBS International Business School in Cologne. Here, too, her focus was on the circular economy and making supply chains more sustainable.
