Joint university information day organized by Osnabrück University and the University of Applied Sciences

Information, labs, lectures - the HIT Osnabrück 2025

What happens after school? Osnabrück University and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences provided answers to this question at the University Information Day - with over 200 offers and open doors to laboratories and lectures.

What can I study in Osnabrück? How do I apply for a place? And how do I finance my studies? Osnabrück University and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences jointly provided school pupils with answers to their questions at the University Information Day (HIT) on Thursday, November 20.

"Excuse me, do you have a plan for me?" Anyone who is about to finish school needs nothing more than that: a good plan. But in this case, the student standing somewhat lost in front of the HIT pilots meant it literally: he needed a map. For many students, this was the first challenge: finding their way around the various university and college locations. To ensure that all those interested made it to the right event on time, more than 20 guides and shuttle buses were available to take them comfortably from the city center to the Caprivi Campus and Westerberg.

This year's HIT was once again organized by the Osnabrück Study Counseling Service (ZSB). More than 200 offers provided insights into degree courses in Osnabrück and Lingen as well as information on applications, financing and other study-related topics.

Taster lectures and open libraries and laboratories gave an impression of student life. In the multiplier café, teachers and employees from educational institutions and the employment agency took the opportunity to exchange ideas.

20-year-old Amelie and her two friends from Bremerhaven traveled to Osnabrück especially for the HIT. "We want to go to the psychology lecture and also find out a bit about the housing situation," said the student from the Sophie Scholl vocational school.

Jan-Niklas had a much shorter journey: together with the entire twelfth year of Ratsgymnasium, he came to the HIT from Minden. "I have to admit: This is my first time in Osnabrück." Never mind - especially as he liked it at first sight. What particularly interested him here: law. "And maybe I'll have a look at business psychology."

Christine Kammler from the Osnabrück Study Counseling Service was satisfied with this year's HIT: "We are very pleased that so many prospective students took part this year and used the opportunity to find out about studying at our universities."

For sixth form students who missed the HIT this year, the following applies: After the HIT is before the HIT. The next University Information Day will take place on November 19, 2026.
