Lower Saxony Higher Education Act : Legal Basis
In general, anyone who
- has completed an apprenticeship of at least three years in a recognized skilled occupation and has worked full-time in the corresponding profession for three years or, as a scholarship holder of the federal government's advancement scholarship programme, has completed at least two years of corresponding professional practice or
- has acquired a subject-related higher education entrance qualification through an examination following previous professional training
is entitled to enroll in a program of study that corresponds to the professional background.
The Coordination Office for Student Information and Advice in Lower Saxony provides general information, in particular on the basic admission requirements for the so-called Immaturen- or Z-examination, as well as the scope of the examination.
