Workshops and seminars

The Writing Center also offers individual workshops tailored to specific needs. Interested parties can contact the  Writing Center with their proposed topic.

We will discuss your ideas with you in more detail so that we can plan and, if necessary, offer the workshop. At least five participants are required for the workshop to take place.

After completing her master's degree in English language and literature, psychology, and teaching english as a Foreign Language at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Janna Gerdes worked as a research assistant at the TU Braunschweig and later at the University of Osnabrück. She has been coordinating the English writing center since 2016.

Lan Anh Vu (Lay)

Lay is a peer-tutor at the English Writing Center. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's in Cognitive Science at the Osnabrück University.

Carmen Mossner

Carmen is working for both the German, as well as the English area of the Schreibwerkstatt. After having completed her Bachelor's degree in cognitive science at the University of Osnabrück in summer 2024, she decided to also pursue the respective Master's degree. Currently she is in her second semester and specialises in neuropsychology and philosophy, with particular focus on theories of emotions and cognition.

Richard Wacker

Richard is a peer-tutor at the English Writing Center and supports students with their English academic writing projects. From 2018 to 2023, he completed a German-French double degree in International Business (B.A.) at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund an ESSEC Business School (Paris). Since the summer semester of 2024, he is part of the Economics (M.Sc.) programm with a specialization in "Sustainability, Behavior and Enviromental Policy" at Osnabrück University.

Janna Wien

Janna is a peer-tutor at the English Writing Center. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in English and Sociology.
