University Medical Officer

The task of the company doctor is to advise the employer on all matters relating to occupational health and safety, health protection and accident prevention. In doing so, he works together with the safety engineer, the safety officers and the staff council. The company doctor ensures the ergonomically correct design of workplaces and assesses the working environment with regard to the health effects of noise, climate, lighting and radiation. He advises on first aid measures, personal protective equipment and technical work equipment. He looks after the severely disabled and pregnant women at work. He also carries out occupational health check-ups in accordance with national and trade association principles.
