Research Interests: Human-environment relationships, with a focus on intergenerational perspectives on environmental issues.
Inga Matschke joined the Geographical Human-Environment Research working group as a research assistant in July 2025. She studied Geography and English Studies (B.A.) at Osnabrück University and completed a Master of Education. During her studies, she gained international experience through an internship at Northcote College in Auckland, New Zealand.
Her research centers on human-environment relationships, with a particular focus on intergenerational perspectives on environmental issues. In her master's thesis, she explored differences in environmental perceptions and attitudes toward environmental protection across age groups, comparing students and senior citizens. This work was conducted within the framework of the project "Freedom in Transition? Intergenerational Dialogue on Planetary Boundaries and Responsibility (SHIFT)." She also supported the BMBF-funded project as a student assistant.
