On this field trip, we explore the birdlife around the Rubbenbruchsee lake. The tour leads through various habitats such as gardens, forests, water bodies and agricultural landscapes, each of which is home to characteristic bird species. We look at how different diets - from fish and insect eaters to seed and grass eaters - are reflected in the birds' physique and behavior. The species-rich group of birds offers an excellent opportunity to experience biodiversity right on your own doorstep. Possible observations include geese, ducks, divers, herons, finches, woodpeckers and many other bird species. Binoculars and a spotting scope can be provided - but you are welcome to bring your own if you have them.
