There is another way! Working together on migration

Science, administration and civil society in dialog: Panel discussion at Theater Osnabrück

How can we change the way we view migration and initiate a social shift that prioritises human rights?

This event aims to facilitate productive and solution-oriented dialogue between guests from academia, administration, and civil society. Rather than analysing the problem, we will discuss possible solutions together.

On the discussion panel:

  • Souad Lamroubal: Municipal official and expert in municipal migration management
  • Suraj Mailitafi: Anti-racist and political education multiplier
  • Prof. Dr. Jochen Oltmer: Migration historian at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) and the Collaborative Research Centre 'Production of Migration' (SFB 1604) at Osnabrück University
  • Susanne Schultz: Senior Expert at the Bertelsmann Foundation and head of the 'Shaping Migration Fairly' project

A moderator will lead the debate. Members of the audience will also have the opportunity to participate in the discussion. There will be an opportunity to chat and exchange ideas over drinks before and after the event.

Those interested in the discussion but unable to attend in person can follow it via a  live broadcast and ask questions using the chat function.

The event will be held in German.
