Please note: If you've already attended (and passed) my "Phonology" seminar in the summer 23, I would advice you to enroll for a different seminar, as we will do more or less the same (I only adjusted the title to fit the content more).

In this course we will take a closer look at the sound system of English. We will revisit concepts you already met in the introduction (e.g., phones, phonemes, allophones) and work on our transcription skills as an empirical basis for further phonological analyses. We will take a closer look at phonological variation and phenomena of connected speech.
