Application for participation in the International Student Seminar for Global Citizenship and Peace 2024 in Hiroshima with the theme "World Peace and Political Justice" open until March 12, 2024!

Osnabrück University has been a member of the International Network of Universities (INU) since April 2023. The network organizes an annual student seminar where students from INU member universities can participate. This year's seminar with the theme "World Peace and Political Justice" will take place from August 1-10, 2024 at Hiroshima University in Japan and offers lectures and interactive seminars as well as a cultural program. There is no course fee. Travel and accommodation costs must generally be borne by the students themselves. However, it is possible to apply for JASSO scholarships (80,000 yen) as well as - until 30.04.2024 - for a scholarship for a specialist course as part of the DAAD PROMOS program. Please note that when applying for a PROMOS scholarship, additional documents must be submitted to the International Office by 30.04.2024, including a "letter of recommendation from a university professor or lecturer (informal letter)" and a language certificate (https://www.uni-osnabrueck.de/en/studies/studies-and-traineeships-abroad/funding/promos/). The next date for the DAAD Language Certificate (DAAD-Sprachtests für Auslandsaufenthalte) offered by the Language Center is April 5, 2024. Interested students should keep this date in mind and note that a timely registration is required in order to take the test.

The International Office is the heart and soul of all international exchange activities at the University. The remit of the International Office is to coordinate international relations,  to implement projects with international partners and to continually expand the partner network all around the world.

The International Office offers support to students and academics at Osnabrück University who are in the process of planning and preparing periods of study/research abroad. In addition, the International Office advises and takes care of international students, PhD students and visiting scholars.

Information for Ukrainian refugees

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research has set up a website for refugees from Ukraine. There isinformation on school, training, studies, work and recognition of foreign vocational qualifications. The site is also available in Ukrainian.

The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) also provides support as part of its 'Digital Campus' with numerous offers on the way to studying in Germany. These offers are already available through the Gesellschaft für Akademische Studienvorbereitung und Testentwicklung e. V. (g.a.s.t.): German courses, language certificates, study aptitude tests and language placement tests. Further offers will be available soon.
