You can find out more about the entire  May Week program on the website.

Funkstelle

Funkstelle is a ten-piece student band with a preference for anything that grooves. From leaned-back soul numbers to tight funk with tight brass sections that push listeners into their seats - Funkstelle has everything that puts you in a good mood. In addition to new, original songs, the band also impresses with well-known material by Prince, Bruno Mars and the Beatles - in the Funkstelle language, of course!

HEXA

Electronic sound aesthetics meets acoustic musical instruments:  HEXA interprets the music of clubs and discotheques on acoustic musical instruments with virtuosity and brings a little bit of good old-fashioned craftsmanship into the artificial world of electronics. With the line-up of a brass band, the mixture remains both danceable and close to the audience, creating an exuberant atmosphere!

Impressions from 2025

On May 17, 2025, Unimusik thrilled audiences on the Maiwochen stage in front of the town hall with two rousing shows!

The unmistakable and rich sound of the   Uni-Bigband embodies the jazz of the last 60 years. The focus is on swing, Latin jazz, jazz rock and funk in their own and existing arrangements of various jazz greats. In addition to the instrumental soloists, the band's individual style is enriched by singers. Jörg Niedderer took over the leadership of the band in April 2024 and has since celebrated concerts at venues including the Blue Note and Alando Ballhaus in Osnabrück.

Since its foundation,   Saturday Funk Fever has dedicated itself to one goal: Full dance floors and unforgettable evenings with handmade groove music! The band from Osnabrück presents an irresistible mix of classics from the 70s to the latest hits and always hits the right note. In a harmonious funk and soul style, the band pays tribute to legends of groove music such as Stevie Wonder, Prince and Earth, Wind & Fire and celebrates contemporary artists such as Jan Delay, Bruno Mars, Nina Chuba and Seed. With a ten-piece line-up, Saturday Funk Fever guarantees a high-quality live performance that thrills from start to finish. The unique fusion of talented voices, pulsating horns and rousing instrumentals creates an incomparable atmosphere of passionate devotion and unbridled joy of playing.

Impressions from 2024

On 11 May 2024, we were able to rejoice at the  May Week on the stage on the market square: there was a great program ranging from dance to pop choir melodies and fine jazz to pulsating drums, vibrating marching techno and brilliant funk!
