Two young researchers from Osnabrück University at the 8th Lindau Conference of Business Administration and Economics

In dialog with Nobel Prize winners

It is a great honor: Vera Baye from the Department of Macroeconomics and Gerrit Wittke from the Department of Banking and Finance at Osnabrück University have been selected to participate in the 8th Lindau Conference of Business Administration and Economics from August 26 to 30.

This event provides a unique platform for interdisciplinary dialog between Nobel Laureates and selected young researchers from around the world to exchange ideas and address some of the most pressing issues in economic research today.

As Academic Partner of the Lindau Meetings, Osnabrück University was able to nominate the two young researchers, whose applications were comprehensively reviewed by a scientific committee appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. Among other things, particular attention was paid to academic achievements. "We are delighted to have this unique opportunity to come into contact with Nobel Laureates and international colleagues," said the young researchers, "The Lindau Meeting is a unique opportunity to get to know new perspectives and to be inspired beyond our own research. The program is full of exciting events, these will be very interesting days."

The invitation of both nominees is not only an extraordinary award for our doctoral students, but also a strong signal for the research location Osnabrück and the School of Business Administration and Economics, according to the two supervising professors Dr. Valeriya Dinger and Dr. Peter Grundke, "Science thrives on communication and networking - this renowned conference is a valuable opportunity for ambitious young researchers."
