Power and violence

Philosophical Café invites you to a discussion

On Sunday, May 10, the Philosophical Café at the Blue Note, Remarquering 16, at 11:30 a.m. will discuss the question "Power and violence - why are they so dominant in politics?"

045/2026 27.4.2026

In many countries today, we are witnessing a lawless, arbitrary power that is perpetrating atrocious violence and even genocide by abolishing the separation of powers. How can such a concentration of power be prevented? How can the lawful use of legitimate state power be restored, taking into account international law and human rights? Professors Reinhold Mokrosch, Elk Franke, Harald Kerber, Arnim Regenbogen and Rolf Wortmann will discuss these questions with the participants after their statements. Admission is free. Breakfast from 10 a.m. can be booked by calling (0541) 6006525.
