General Teaching Practice
Current: Registration for the general teaching practice in summer 2026
Registration for the general teaching practice takes place ONLINE for all vocational disciplines.
For the internship in summer 2026, which is part of the A-LbS, registration is possible until April 30, 2026 via the registration mask of the internship database.

Information event on the general teaching practice in spring 2027
On May 26, 2026 from 12:15 to 13:$%, an information event will be offered on the general teaching practice, which must be completed as part of the Bachelor's degree course in Vocational Education or as part of the Master's degree course Vocational Teacher Education for Specialized Bachelor, if you are aiming to become a teacher.
In the course, the structure of the module, the regularly scheduled times and the registration procedure are first explained. However, as this event also explains aspects to consider when looking for suitable schools and provides an opportunity to ask questions, attendance is recommended for all students who wish to complete the internship in spring 2027 as part of the general teaching practice.
The information event will be held digitally .

General information regarding the general teaching practice
The general teaching practice must be completed as part of the Bachelor in Vocational Education by all students aiming to become a teacher, as well as by all students absolving the Master in Vocational Education for Specialized Bachelor.
The associated practical phase lasts five weeks.
Recommended periods in the Bachelor's degree program in Vocational Teacher Education
Bachelor's students are recommended to complete the internship between the lecture periods of the third and fourth semesters or the fourth and fifth semesters.
A preparatory course must be attended before the internship and a follow-up course after the internship.
Recommended periods in the Master's degree program Vocational Teacher Education for Specialized Bachelor
Master's students are recommended to complete the internship between the lecture periods of the first and second semester.
A preparatory course must be attended before the internship and a follow-up course after the internship.

For students who wish to complete the internship that is part of the general teaching practice and who register for it by the deadline, a "Confirmation for submission to the residents' registration office for the application for an extended certificate of good conduct in accordance with § 30a para. 2 BZRG" will be issued and sent by email early enough.

On May 27, 2025, an information event was held for students of all professional disciplines on the general teaching practice in winter semester 2025/26 and summer semester 2026, in which the school internship is scheduled for spring 2026.
