Brief explanation of "GHR 300"

The abbreviation "GHR 300" proudly indicates that the study program for Secondary Teacher Education (Gymnasium) and Vocational Teacher Education (Haupt- und Realschule) comprises 300 LP, as this was not the case in the past.

General information

For each of the two subjects, the practical phase consists of seminars for the preparation, support and follow-up of the practical block course as well as the practical block itself. The latter is an 18-week school internship that takes place in the second semester and is dedicated to school life in its entirety. For each subject, students are visited and advised by the lecturers of their associated seminars during at least two teaching experiments.

Need for proof of measles vaccination!

A new measles protection law has been in force since March 2020.
This includes, among other things, that all persons born after 1970 who are cared for or work in a community facility (e.g. school, daycare center) must either provide proof of sufficient measles vaccination protection or immunity against measles.

This means that all students completing an internship in a school (or daycare center) must also provide proof of sufficient measles vaccination protection or immunity against measles to the school management before starting the internship.
This can be fulfilled by submitting a vaccination card with a corresponding entry or by submitting a medical certificate.

Registration for the practical phase of "GHR 300"

As part of the Master's degree programs "Primary Teacher Education (Grundschule)" and "Secondary Teacher Education (Haupt- und Realschule)", an 18-week practical block course in a school is planned, which is prepared the semester before and followed up afterwards.

Since it should already be clear at the beginning of the lecture period of the winter semester 2025/26 which students will form a team so that this can be taken into account in the preparatory seminars, registration is required by 30.9.2025.

Registration takes place online.

Registration is possible from 1.7. to 30.9.2025, whereby it makes no difference to the allocation of internship places whether you register on the first or last day of the registration period.

During the registration period, the registration form can be found on Stud.IP in the course "Teaching-related internships" under the tab "Internships".

Lists of the schools are published here to help students consider their school preferences:

For students aiming for a Master of Primary Education (Grundschule) sorted by place name, overview of the schools that can be requested during registration (as of June 24, 2025) (PDF, 102 kB)
