The consecutive Master's degree course "Psychology: Focus on Intercultural Psychology (M.Sc.)" enables students to deepen their existing basic knowledge in a targeted manner. In addition to in-depth methodological training, the course allows for a high degree of specialization and profile development. A practical study project and work-related internships conclude the course and ensure that what has been learned is applied.
The course is a unique interdisciplinary course of study in Germany, which integrates various basic and applied subjects and thus enables a high degree of specialization.
In addition to Intercultural Business Psychology, the curriculum includes Comparative Social Psychology and Developmental Psychology. These modules are generally taught in English.
The broad content of the degree programme, together with a free choice of minor subjects, gives students the opportunity to specialize in a specific area of interest and gain professional qualifications.
The Master's degree in "Psychology: Focus on Intercultural Psychology" qualifies students for a wide range of psychological careers, for example in the field of occupational and organizational psychology, intercultural diagnostics and intervention as well as in various counselling institutions. Due to increasing globalization and the coming together of members of different cultural groups, it will become increasingly important in the future to understand differences and respond specifically to the needs of different groups. The degree program enables graduates to work in professional fields that are interculturally influenced. The coverage of relevant methodological and applied subjects offers great flexibility for the choice of a subsequent professional field.
The access requirement is a qualified Bachelor's degree in "Psychology" or a closely related degree program.

The examination regulations do not stipulate a compulsory stay abroad. Nevertheless, it is recommended to spend a period of study at a foreign partner university as part of an exchange program. A so-called mobility window is provided for this in the third semester. The curriculum in the third semester is adjusted accordingly with regard to the scope of studies and credit points compared to the other semesters. The contact person for questions about studying abroad is the degree program manager at the Institute of Psychology, the contact person for questions about internships abroad is the transfer manager at the Institute of Psychology.
Studying at Osnabrück University means you will be subject to semester fees. Depending on how much of your study credit (standard period of study plus tolerance semester) you have used up, you may also have to pay long-term study fees.
