Application
Suggestions to our program
We wish to adapt the services offered by the PhD/ Postdoc Career Center as closely as possible to the needs of doctoral candidates and postdocs at Osnabrück University. To this end, we ask you to let us know which training and net-working services you require. Please also notify us of any suggestions you may have with regard to English-language offers, which we would be happy to organize for you.

The PhD/Postdoc Career Center offers doctoral candidates and postdocs an interesting and multifaceted program of courses and events. The program comprises
- Interdisciplinary seminars to help participants strengthen their academic and professional key competencies and
- Career guidance and planning services.
These services seek to provide targeted support to doctoral candidates and postdocs in shaping their university or non-university career paths. The aim is to prepare participants for the successful assumption of leadership responsibility in academia and the private sector. The courses and events we offer focus on the following key thematic areas:
- Science and methods
- Leadership skills
- Self-guidance skills and career planning
- Working techniques, language and media skills
These key areas contain not only offers tailored towards specific target groups, catering to the special needs of doctoral candidates or postdocs, but also offers relevant to both doctoral candidates in the final stage of their undertaking and postdocs. The target groups addressed in the courses and events are specified in the descriptions of the individual offers.
Conditions for participation
Our program of courses is aimed at doctoral candidates and postdocs at Osnabrück University. No credits or certificates of attendance of any relevance to other study programs can be gained. Here are the application documents, if you would like to make use of our offerings. Postdocs simply register by sending an informal application by e-mail to: zepros@uni-osnabrueck.de, enabling them to enroll in courses offered by the PhD/Postdoc Career Center. No fees are charged for participating in any of the courses, except for training in higher education didactics.
Dates and applying
Information about when the courses and events take place can be found in our brochure (PDF, 2.24 MB) and on our website. After acceptance to the PhD/Postdoc Career Center services, you can use Stud.IP to secure a place on one of our courses. Postdocs who are as yet unable to enroll via Stud.IP should register by sending an e-mail to: zepros@uni-osnabrueck.de. Our courses can only be held if the minimum number of participants required is reached. If you are unable to attend a course for which you have registered, we therefore request you to withdraw your application no later than 10 days before the course is set to begin.
