Expert Mentoring

Osnabrück University has been supporting psychology students in their professional and personal development with the help of volunteer mentors since 2009. Expert Mentoring in Psychology (EMOS) paves the way for psychology students in Osnabrück into their future careers through

• Advice and tips from experienced practitioners
• Individual career and professional planning
• Early and targeted orientation during studies
• Opportunity to build up your own network
• Reflection on professional requirements and own strengths and weaknesses

For the mentors, mentoring offers the opportunity to pass on their own experiences, provide insights into their professional field and thus also address young talent, build new networks and strengthen contact and exchange with the university.

In eleven project runs to date, a total of over 480 students have benefited as mentees from the experiences of "their" experts. The high individual benefit is regularly confirmed by the students in accompanying evaluations.
