Freshman info

At the end of September, we will send a welcome email to all first semester students (Bachelor's and Master's) including a schedule for Freshers' Week and QR codes for the semester WhatsApp groups!

If you didn't get your study place until later or didn't receive a welcome email until the beginning of October, please write us an email to  fs-psych@uos.de and we will send you the email later!

Information for all first semester students

Welcome to the "Psychos" in Osnabrück!

After a long wait and a lot of paperwork, you have finally enrolled and are now officially psychology students. I'm sure you all have a lot of hopes and aspirations for your studies, and I'm sure there are also some fears about the new situation mixed in with the joy of your place.

Because most of us felt the same way at the beginning, we have developed an introductory program for you to make it easier for you to start your studies. This program consists of several elements:

  •  The Bachelor's first week
In the week before the "real" courses begin, we organize an introductory week for you in which we explain everything you need to know about studying. We will introduce you to the subjects and professors, show you the most important facilities, tell you what is important at the beginning and, above all, give you the opportunity to get to know each other! Participation is highly recommended.
Here you can also find the dates and the program of this year's Freshers' Week, as well as all the latest information about it
  •  The first semester tutorials for first-time Bachelor students
At the end of Freshers' Week, you and 10-15 other freshers will choose two tutors - experienced students from higher semesters - with whom you will meet once a week until Christmas. Here you can clarify any questions that arise in the first few months of your studies - and of course get to know nice people!
  •  The first-year Master's week or the "Mersti week"
There is also an introductory week for first-time Master's students so that you can celebrate starting your Master's degree and get to know the new students from other universities.

We have already answered the  most frequently asked questions. If you have any further questions before the Freshers' Week, just send us an e-mail!

Have fun getting to know each other in advance ;-)
