Admission requirements

Enrolment for the Bachelor's degree program in Psychology at Osnabrück University requires, in addition to the requirements of § 18 paragraph 1 NHG, that applicants have proven knowledge of the English language at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Proof of English language proficiency is deemed to have been provided if a) English was achieved at level B2 (CEFR) as part of obtaining the higher education entrance qualification, or b) English was the language of the education system at the time of obtaining the higher education entrance qualification, or c) a language test at level B2 (CEFR) (for possible language tests, see: www.uni-osnabrueck.de/sprachnachweise) has been successfully completed.
- Applicants who neither have a German university entrance qualification nor have obtained their university degree at a German university must also have sufficient knowledge of the German language at level C1. If German was not the language of the education system at the time the higher education entrance qualification was obtained, applicants must provide proof of German language proficiency in the form of the DSH 2 German language examination certificate for university entrance or comparable certificates.
- In cases of doubt, the lecturer appointed by the study commission will decide on the existence of language skills.
