Further training as an intercultural trainer
Against the backdrop of growing diversity and heterogeneity in the work context, as well as increasing internationalization and migration processes, successfully dealing with interculturality is becoming a central key competence. Whether for managers, employees at home and abroad or for the organization as a whole: to ensure that interculturality is not only a challenge but can also be used productively, a well-founded examination and further training in this area is essential.
Intercultural training is a proven method of promoting intercultural competence. Intercultural training can help people to reflect on their own cultural background and learn to deal constructively with diversity.
In addition to acquiring intercultural skills, the ability to successfully plan and conduct intercultural training is also a valuable and relevant qualification for a wide range of contexts. This requires both sound knowledge of the influence of culture on our experience and behavior, as well as methodological and didactic skills for the lively design of learning processes.
The further education courses offered by the Institute of Psychology at Osnabrück University therefore enable students to act successfully in an intercultural context on the one hand and to design and conduct intercultural training courses independently on the other.
In designing the program, the Institute of Psychology draws on extensive experience in research, teaching and consulting in the field of interculturality and diversity at Osnabrück University. The program focuses on three main topics:
- The personal examination of one's own cultural imprint and the development of one's own intercultural competence
- The teaching of didactic and methodological skills, as well as the content-related examination of fundamental approaches in the field of interculturality
- The development of your own trainer profile
