Nominated... and now?
Within a few weeks of the application deadline, you will be notified whether you have been awarded an exchange place and for which university you are to be nominated. After this, the actual nomination at the respective partner university will take place with some delay. You will receive an e-mail notification.
The partner university will then send you all the necessary documents for enrollment (registration), information about your studies, etc. Some universities do not send out any documents before June/July (nomination for the winter semester) or December/January (nomination for the summer semester) , so please check the universities' websites for the deadlines.
The nomination by the Psychology Student Center does not replace the later official registration at the partner university! Please remember that you are primarily responsible for organizing your stay abroad!
The International Office will also send you a letter of approval for your Erasmus+ mobility grant (only valid for Erasmus stays) in good time before the start of your stay abroad (approx. in August or January). Please note that various documents (e.g. grant agreement, learning agreement, student report, certificate of attendance, transcript, etc.) must then be sent to the International Office. This is all explained in the approval letter and the relevant deadlines for submitting the documents are also communicated.
In most cases, it makes sense to apply for a semester of leave at Osnabrück University - the Admissions Office in StudiOS is responsible for this.
All downloads on the subject of ERASMUS+ can be found on the International Office website.
Learning Agreement
The next step is to draw up and sign the Learning Agreement, which is an agreement (study contract) between the exchange student, Osnabrück University and the partner university. Before starting their studies abroad, students must enter the courses they expect to take at the host university in the Learning Agreement.
As a rule, according to the EU, courses amounting to 30 ECTS per semester must be completed. This (provisional) course selection must be signed by you, your host university and the psychology programme manager, Christopher Klanke. You must ensure that you collect all signatures yourself.
Some universities have set up an online approval procedure.
You can find a guide to creating an online learning agreement here.
The Learning Agreement ("Before the mobility") signed by both universities should then be submitted to the International Office with Ms. Rohe ( laura.rohe@uos.de).
The fully signed Learning Agreement is one of the requirements for the payment of the Erasmus grant. This must be received before the start of your stay abroad!
If your choice of course changes during your stay abroad, you must also complete the Learning Agreement "During the mobility". This must also be signed by all parties involved (see above).
The current Learning Agreement of Osnabrück University can be found in the download area of the International Office under ERASMUS+.
