Study aptitude test
Osnabrück University takes the result of the BaPsy-DGPs aptitude test into account for admission to the Bachelor of Psychology degree program.
In the application procedure, admission to a study place can be achieved in two ways:
- 20% of study places are allocated solely on the basis of the result of the university entrance qualification.
- 80% of the study places are allocated according to the result of the university entrance qualification in combination with the result of the subject-specific study aptitude test BaPsy-DGPs. In the application procedure, a maximum of 60 points can be achieved through the grade of the higher education entrance qualification and a maximum of a further 60 points through the test result (percentile rank) of the BaPsy-DGP (i.e. a maximum of 120 points in total).
Participation in the test is voluntary and is not a prerequisite for admission. However, all prospective students are recommended to take part in the test procedure in order to improve their chances of gaining a place at university. A good test result can open up better chances of admission even with a lower A-level grade. Even with a very good Abitur grade, a good test result can be essential for admission.
