Admission procedure

1) If more applicants meet the access requirements than there are places available, places will be allocated according to the results of an internal university selection procedure.

2) Selection is based on a ranking list with a maximum of 100 points. The number of points for the ranking list results from the addition of the points achieved in accordance with points a) and b). In the event of a tie, the ranking on the list is determined by drawing lots. Places are allocated on the basis of the ranking list and the number of places available.

a) Depending on the result of the degree according to § 2 paragraph 1 or the result of the provisional degree according to paragraph 2, up to 75 points can be credited.

b) On the basis of special knowledge that is conducive to the successful completion of this degree program, a maximum of 25 points can be credited to the applicant as follows:

  • 7.5 points once for proof of achievements totaling at least 22 ECTS points from one of the following areas: statistics and research methodology;
  • 7.5 points once for proof of achievements totaling at least 16 ECTS points in the field of test theory and psychological diagnostics;
  • 10 points once,
    provided that at least 8 ECTS points from the field of work, organizational and business psychology or from the field of educational psychology are proven,
    and additionally at least 7 ECTS points from the field of social psychology and at least 8 ECTS points from the field of developmental psychology are proven

3) The selection committee (§ 5) makes the final selection decision.
