Master in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy
The consecutive Master's degree course in Psychology: Focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy enables students to expand on the basic knowledge they already have from the Bachelor's degree course, which conforms to licensing regulations. In addition to in-depth methodological training, the course allows a high degree of specialization and profile development in the field of clinical psychology and psychotherapy. The overarching qualification objective of the Master's degree course is to prepare students for a career in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. The Master's degree program was designed on the basis of the new licensing regulations for psychotherapists (PsychThApprO) and contains all content relevant to licensing. The high level of practical exercises and the practical relevance of what is learned should optimally prepare students for clinical-psychological and psychotherapeutic work. This high level of practical relevance of the Master's degree course is achieved in particular through the Berufsqualifizierende Tätigkeiten (BQT) II and III, in which students practise basic psychotherapeutic techniques in role plays.
