Neuroanatomy course
The neuroanatomy course is offered in cooperation with Prof. Dr. W. Knabe, Professor of Anatomy, HMU Health and Medical University Erfurt. It is held regularly as a one-week block course during the lecture-free period. Around 18 Bachelor students can take part in each period.
In the block course, structural and functional characteristics of the human brain are explained and deepened in lectures, as well as being understood through the sequential dissection of body donor specimens. This combination creates a tangible understanding of human neuroanatomy and is enthusiastically accepted by the students.
Admission is by lottery. For participants from the Bachelor's degree course, the prerequisite is regular attendance of the "Biopsychology" lecture and the associated written exam.
