FAQ - Test subject hours

Students must take part in 40 hours of psychological tests.

Remuneration for study participation in the form of trial subject hours or financial compensation depends on the duration of participation. An estimate of the duration and compensation can be found in the study description in SONA.
If you are absent from a trial three times without excuse, you will be blocked from participating in further trials. Please contact sonapsy@uni-osnabrueck to request that the block be lifted.
If you have made a mistake when creating your SONA_Account (including entering the wrong name, email address, matriculation number or course), please contact us at  sonapsy@uni-osnabrueck.de.
You can change your password under "My user data". To do this, you must enter your current password and can then assign a new password and confirm it by entering it again. To be able to make the change, you must then click on "Update".
You can delete your account yourself, but you should only do this after you have completed all the test subjects and submitted them to the Examination Office. Wait until the examination office has credited the subject hours to your transcript before deleting your account.

In most cases, the VP hours are automatically credited 72 hours after participation. If you have not received any subject hours in SONA within a week, please contact the trial management (contact details: see study description).

The identity code is the four-digit numerical code that you will find in your profile. The purpose of requesting this code is to enable the researchers to credit your VP hours anonymously. It is therefore important that you use the identity code and not the user ID to ensure the anonymity of your data. In some studies, the term SONA ID may still be used, which means the same as Identity Code and therefore also refers to this four-digit numerical code.

Under the "My participations and credits" tab, you can view the credits earned so far.subject hours earned to date and currently outstanding study participation and subject hours. You can also see how many subject hours are required in total.

You can pull the overview of completed VP hours from your SONA profile. Once you have collected all VP hours, download the overview and submit it to the Examinations Office by email: papsychba@uos.de.

The VP hours documented on the routing slip do not expire, but remain valid and do not need to be transferred to SONA. Keep the docket in a safe place and submit it together with the proof from SONA to the examination office when you have collected all 40 hours.

FAQ - Dates

If you are unable to take part in the study, you can deregister from the study. You will find a list of all the studies you have registered for under "My participation and credits " . By clicking on "Deregister", you can deregister by a certain deadline (see "Deadlines").
If you have to cancel at very short notice (i.e. after the cancellation deadline), you will no longer be able to cancel officially, as the date is imminent and is considered confirmed. If you are still unable to attend the agreed date for compelling reasons (e.g. illness), please contact the researchers directly at the e-mail address or telephone number given in the study description.

If you are absent from an attempt three times without excuse, you will be blocked in the system for further attempts. Please contact sonapsy@uni-osnabrueck to request that your suspension be lifted.
