We run a mailing list for all psychology students at Osnabrück University.

Notes on use
The mailing list is primarily intended for study-related announcements. Announcements of subject lessons, statistics parties or scripts and exchange requests for exam dates are expressly desired.
The following is not considered desirable use:
- Private contact ("Hi Claudia, I don't have your address anymore, but I'm sure you're on the mailing list. Why don't you get in touch?")
- Private offers for sale ("Selling bike, 13 years old, ridden once...")
- Private requests to buy ("Looking for an apartment immediately, large and bright, but must not cost anything...")
- Advertising that is not directly related to psychology in Osnabrück
- Requests to buy and sell used books
Please note for distribution requests that VP hours from other schools or universities cannot usually be recognized by us. There is an exception for Cognitive Science students at Osnabrück University: please send your requests to our program manager.
Otherwise you have the possibility that we will forward your studies without specifying the VP hours.
Job/internship offers
Job and internship offers are not forwarded via the internal psycho mailing list, but uploaded to the so-called practice portal . We would like to offer to make job advertisements available in this way. This is free of charge.

Frequently asked questions
I was on vacation and am no longer receiving mails from the mailing list!
Please understand that we delete addresses from the mailing list that repeatedly produce errors, e.g. because the mailbox is full. Web.de is one of the usual suspects here - if possible, please use a provider that offers more than 10 MB of storage space. Don't forget that you all have a university address with at least 100 MB of storage space!
If you want to continue using Web.de, we suggest the following procedure:
- Instead of your Web.de address, have your university e-mail address added to the mailing list
- Log in to the university's webmail and set your mails to be forwarded to your web.de address.
Then you will no longer be removed from the mailing list when your mailbox is full.
I wanted to send an email to the mailing list and it tells me that I am not a member!
To avoid spam via the mailing list, normally only registered list members are allowed to send emails to the mailing list.
Emails from non-members are only held back, not deleted. We then receive a message and always release emails with meaningful content as soon as possible.
I also got an error message like this, but I am on the mailing list!
If you are actually registered but still receive an email with an error message, you are probably registered with a different address than the one in the sender's address of your email. Since the mailing list program is stupid, it also thinks xmuster@uni-osnabrueck.de is a different address than xmuster@uos.de.
We will also activate these mails as soon as possible, you don't have to do anything else. The program remembers this so that you will no longer have the problem with the next mail.
