Beschreibung

This course, consisting of two weekly sessions, will constitute the “I-Modul”. Attendance is restricted to those who are taking this module.
We are going to read a variety of speeches taken from literature (Shakespeare to Tolkien), real-life politics (Kennedy, Obama, Trump [?!], Johnson], and internet presentations, and analyse them from both the linguistic and literary point of view.
Every participant is asked to prepare a short paper and read it in class. Regular attendance is required, and you should also be prepared to see me in my office for consultations.
Please copy a reader with a selection of texts at CopyShop Dialog (Süsterstr. 29), from 14 September, and read the speeches it contains.
f you wish to take part in the course, please give me a phone call (0541/969-4985, Mondays to Fridays, 8.30 a, m. to 12.30 p.m. ), in addition to registering on StudIP. If I can accept you, you will be given a guaranteed place in the course, and in turn make a commitment to attend it.
