Research Assistant (m/f/d)
(pay scale E 13 TV-L, 50%)

The "Environmental Systems Modelling" department of the "Mathematics/Computer Science/Physics" faculty is seeking to recruit a research assistant for a start on July 1st, 2024 limited until December 31st, 2027.


Your duties:

  • Participation in the Horizon Europe project "SYBERAC" with the task of mathematical modelling of the effects of chemicals, especially pesticides, on arthropods
  • Participation in the research of the Environmental Systems Modelling group

Opportunity for doctoral research outside working hours will be given.


Requirements:

  • Completed scientific university degree in the fields of Mathematics, (Environmental) Systems Science, Ecotoxicology, Geoecology or other relevant degree programmes
  • Knowledge of mathematical modelling

Additional qualifications:

  • Knowledge of environmental behaviour and ecotoxicology of chemicals
  • Programming skills, e.g. in Python or C(++)
