International Network of Universities

Beim International Network of Universities (INU) handelt es sich um ein 1998 gegründetes, internationales Netzwerk von 13 Universitäten. Die beteiligten Hochschulein-richtungen sind an einer Intensivierung ihrer internationalen Ausrichtung interessiert und bemühen sich hierbei um die gemeinsame Entwicklung und Gestaltung innovativer Programme und Lehrmethoden. INU unterstützt seine Mitglieder hierbei in unterschiedlichsten Bereichen:

Student mobilities

International Student Seminar for Global Citizenship and Peace

has been held annually in Hiroshima in August since 2006
approx. 60 students are prepared to live and learn as responsible global citizens
Duration: 10-day program with lectures, case studies and discussions
Opportunity to participate in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony, as the day of remembrance of the nuclear attacks on August 6 always falls within the program period
Open to students of all disciplines

International Student Conference

The Catholic University of Parahyangan (UNPAR) in Indonesia organizes an annual student conference
Global citizenship is always chosen as the broader theme
Date: regularly in January

Henry Fong Award

This award supports outstanding students who wish to complete a stay abroad at a member university
Duration: individual depending on the project
Application requirements: Participation in the International Student Seminar for Global Citizenship and Peace
Applicants should identify with the host university and be interested in its courses
Funding: 1700£ will be paid as support for travel and living expenses

INU Internship Program

Application requirement:
- Participating students must be enrolled at a member university
- working knowledge of English and basic knowledge of the official language of the respective host country
Funding opportunities:
- possible remuneration from the respective university depending on the job advertisement
- Partly rent-free accommodation

Global Citizenship and Sustainable Futures: Learning for Change (Online)

Open to students of all disciplines
New online program from 2024 consisting of three compulsory and three elective modules
Duration: 12-18 months, expected to start in March 2024

Employees

Staff Knowledge Exchange

Strengthens the relationships between the individual member universities through a visit by both academic and non-academic staff to each other
Applicants must be employed at the member university
Duration: approx. 1 week, deviations possible in consultation with the host institution
Prerequisite is sufficient knowledge of the English language ("working knowledge")
Funding:
- the home university bears the travel and living expenses for its employees during the visit
- the host university arranges and pays for suitable accommodation for the duration of the visit

Seed Fund Money

is aimed at scientific and non-scientific staff as start-up funding for significant projects that represent added value for the network
The funding is divided into 2 phases:
- Phase 1: New projects in which at least 2 member universities participate
- Phase 2: projects already underway that have already been supported in phase 1 and in which at least 4 member universities are participating
Application requirements:
- Participation in the Staff Mobility Program
- Open to all areas
- Quarterly report to INU, as well as a presentation after 12 months
- written annual report
Funding: each year, up to two projects in each phase are financially supported with up to 2500£

Scientific Staff

Researcher Mobility Program

the opportunity for PhD students and active researchers to cooperate with other universities within the INU network
Development of joint research projects
Duration: 2-4 weeks
Application requirements:
- Employed or enrolled at a member university for at least 6 months at the time of application
- Good knowledge of English
Funding: 5 grants of up to £1700 each for travel and living expenses
Home university submits invoices for costs incurred to the INU

Seed Money Fund

is aimed at scientific and non-scientific staff as start-up funding for significant projects that represent added value for the network
The funding is divided into 2 phases:
